The Internet — Jan 7, 2008 — As reported HERE by Joe Wilcox of eWeek's Microsoft Watch, "AOL will end support for the Netscape browser on Feb. 1. AOL will no longer offer Netscape security patches or other updates."
I doubt that too many of you are still using that browser, but if you are, here's what you lost:
"Gone will be:
The browser that literally popularized the World Wide Web
The progenitor of AJAX, JavaScript, plug-ins and RSS, among many, many other Web technologies
The catalyst for one of the biggest antitrust losses in the history of American business"
We suggest that if you have not already, switch to another browser. Cool Profit$ uses both Internet Explorer and Firefox for our web travels. While both have a few pros and cons, either will work quite well on your machine (but Macs will probably opt for Firefox)...and are free.
Rest of story.
