August F. Wiegand RIP

Friends and associates knew Gus as a walking-talking encyclopedia; as he had the capability to have an informed discussion on any given topic ranging from Genetics to Thermo Dynamics. Gus was a voracious reader and an avid fisherman; he enjoyed life and enjoyed everything that he did to the fullest. The folks at CSF say “To us Gus was a mentor; he taught us most of what we know today – all of us at CSF are grateful to him and will miss him dearly - our thoughts and prayers are with Lois and the rest of his family”.

Gus is survived by his wife of 57 years Lois, children Fredrick Wiegand of Syracuse NY, Kathy Taylor of Fayetteville NY, Judith Buczkowski (Thomas) of Waitsfield VT, Jeffrey Wiegand of Manlius NY, Susan Carroll (Norman) of Manlius NY, Grandchildren Thaddeus and Zachary Owen, Caitlin and Shannon Carroll. Memorial service was held Saturday August 5. Contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Northumberland County Rescue Squad, or the Easter Seal Society.
